Coffee and crime
(31 July 2026)

We have squeezed one more Coffee & Crime before our summer break.

Join us as we take a fictional summer trip to Capri with sun, Aperol Spritz and mysterious murder afoot!

Television screenwriter, journalist and debut author Matt Baker will be joining us live in discussion with his novel A
Taste For Murder which has also been developed into a major ITV television series.

In this gripping debut novel we follow recently widowed DCI Joe Mottram who takes a trip to Capri to reconnect
with his teenage daughter.
Soaking up the glorious sun, everything is going swimmingly that is until a body turns up...

Ruislip Duck Pond Market
(2 August then 16 August 2026)

Popular regular market located at Manor Farm site, Ruislip
1st and 3rd Sundays of each Month.

Harefield Bowls
(2 August then 9 August 2026)

We are a mixed bowling club whose aim is to enjoy the game of bowls in a warm, friendly and informal atmosphere.
The Club has weekly organised roll ups, as well as internal competitions, which are strongly supported.
As a mixed club we take part in both the Three Counties and The Chiltern & Thames leagues. In addition to this there is a very full, friendly weekday and weekend fixture list.

Many of our players compete in Bowls England National, Middlesex, Harrow, Hillingdon and many more external competitions.
The social side is also well supported with B.B.Qs, bowls drives and other fun days during the summer season. In winter we arrange indoor matches plus Christmas celebrations, quiz nights, bingo etc.

We currently have around 60 members and we are always looking to welcome new members whether you are a beginner or more experienced.
Don’t think that bowls is just a game for the older generation. Bowls has something to offer to everyone and is a great opportunity to meet new people of all ages. It can be a highly skilful and competitive sport.

Just joining a club can open the doors to county, national and even international competition! Having said that, you may prefer just to take part in the local leagues or even just join as a social, non-bowling member.
